I can't believe they are really going to release this. I will truely believe this when I see the album in the store. I hope it's good.

I heard G N' R will be the opening act for a Midwest Phish summer tour.

Axl is helping Trey get his cornrows braided. Its going to be

This really is ridiculous. Axl is the only member left and it's being released exclusively at Best Buy?! What a joke. Appetite on vinyl is sweet though.

Jimmy - I agree! As if we've been following GNR songs well enough all these years to recognize the track list. LOL! Give us a music sample or something. Uh, but then that might lead to a terrible music piracy situation that could prevent Axl from getting his gold toilet seat w/ the profits. LOL! Profits? That's pretty funny too!

I'll be selling veggie burritos outside of Best Buy all night waiting for this. If you can make a beat, I can do glowsticks.

Coconut Phil

Axl is a wig wearing punk, this band is not G & R at all, he stole the name from them years ago, he's trying to cash in. I'll not pay a thin dime for this CD. I suspect that the fans have moved on.

They should sub track 3 for 2 in my opinion. The album will then rock that much harder...

Long time GNR fan. My first dance at my wedding had to be 'Sweet Child' Will def. buy this because I have no self-restraint. That said, after hearing Shackler's on You Tube, and revisiting 'Oh My God' (not on album, but from same sessions), and listening to live tracks over the years, I expect much of the album to sound very industrial. I'm not pumped by this.

Witness the new Metallica album, where they went back to their roots, stopped worrying about sounding a certain way, and just played.

Witness the first Velvet Revolver album... Could have been a sequel to Appetite.

Witness the first few Primus reunion tours, where they dedicated a set to 'classic albums'

I recognize that it's hard work to produce an album. And that artists need to follow their inspiration. But there is also a certain amount of craftmanship (is that even a word?) that goes into a good album. Stay true to what you know, rather than trying to accomplish everything.

After forcing myself to re-listen to Use Your Illusions I & II, I have to admit that besides the classic tracks, the rest of the album is lackluster, bad, or even un-listenable (My World). I think personality and reputation have been the main drivers behind this band's popularity.

In short, this album will go platinum, but won't be very good. I'd like to see Guns, Velvet Revolver, and even Phish sit down with Rick Rubin for a good talking-to.

Axl Rose is absolute shit compared to Les Claypool and Primus for that matter. When Primus did that they played a set of assorted songs and then an entire second set dedicated to Saiing the Seas of Cheese. Axl's probably only going to be doing one set and it's of course going to have some "hits" thrown in there but I wouldn't be surprised if it were the same set pretty much every night.

Upon first listening of the first Velvet Revolver album it possibly couild seem like a sequel but then listen to it two or three more times and it really really loses its ability to be good at all, at least that's my opinion it's the only cd I bought that I wish I had taken back

Rick Rubin needs a reality check coming out with Metallica's new album and doing Linkin Park and all that crap. What happened to the good work he did with Blood Sugar Sex Magik and De-Loused in the Comatorium?

This is just ridiculous. Axl Rose is a has been. How can he even call this a G N R album. Velvet Revolver should have more right to the name.
