Dave Brogan (ALO) Mini-Tour

Dave Brogan
Coming off the success of his first solo tour, Dave Brogan is hitting the road again. This time he will be making the West Coast rounds starting in his home town of Seattle, WA. He will be making a stop in San Francisco to open for Sonya Kitchell and The Slip at The Independent before moving down to his last stop in Goleta, CA (Santa Barbara). On tour Brogan will be focusing on playing new original music as well ALO fan favorites.

Dave Brogan has been working on his solo project while his full time outfit ALO has been on a scaled back year of touring. Fronting his own band on guitar is a definite change from his usual place holding down the rhythm section of ALO on drums. Brogan will be supported by Tim Young (Jesse Baylin) on guitar, Colin Hoops (Big Light) on keys, Geoff Harper (Skerik's Syncopated Taint Septet) on bass and Sean Hutchinson (New Monsoon) on drums.

Dave Brogan solo album Thunderbird - Sun Transformation will be released on October 21. The album was produced by Tim Bluhm of The Mother Hips and features performances by Bluhm, Jackie Greene, Dan Lebowitz (ALO), Paul Hoaglin (The Mother Hips) and Tim Young.

I agree with Falcor. Brogan is the man and it's nice to see him getting it on!

I seriously dig on Brogan. The ALO songs he has penned are all so catchy, so I expect good things. Nice to see he is keeping busy and making music while Zach does his thing.

Sending good vibes to you all from Florida...

listen to the songs for yourself and come to your own conclusions. just because they are not jammy does not give them any less substance. Stony Fields and Broken Record are amazing

i think Falcor wanted to write, "he's one of our generation's most UNDISCOVERED talented songwriters of our generation"

now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

this message brought to you by Lady Loop, the number 420 and the Golden Hose

The show at The Independent was great -- Brad Barr opened with some VERY creative trippy solo stuff, Dave Brogan and band tore it up and good, and Sonya Kitchell and The Slip played for ~1 1/2 hours. Sonya will be a star; she's passionate and talented.
