Soul Stew Revival NYE

The Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi Soul Stew Revival will keep their tradition alive with a return to the fabulous Fox Theatre in Atlanta for New Year's Eve. Last year's show was recognized with a Jammy Nomination for "Live Performance of the Year." This year, they will be joined by very special guests the Sun Ra Arkestra. The legendary intergalactic big band consists of fifteen musicians blending theater, ritual and music, led by founding member Marshall Allen. The Arkestra has been pushing the boundaries of music for over half a century and this promises to be unlike any previous Derek Trucks or Susan Tedeschi New Year's Eve show. Presale tickets go on sale through dTb Ticketing Tuesday, October 7 at Noon, EST. Public on sale will begin Friday, October 10 through Ticketmaster.

Glassworks, I was at the Raleigh ABB show as well. Derek played well but looked tired, all of them, save for Oteil & Marc Q., looked overworked and tired. Gregg looked dead. I wasn't expecting much going into the show, but they did ok with what they had the other night.

It is a Dr. John song. WSP has played it. There is a recording Duane did with Johnny Jenkins on the Duane Allman Anthology v2.

I was completely sober listening & watching the entire show from section 3 and I give the Allman Brothers Band a B+ performance wise. It wasn't a bad show but I've seen better at Walnut Creek Amphitheatre by them in the past.

Unfortunately for as much as the Allmans rock, their crowds seem to consist of aged bikers who can't stand up anymore, or else they're too fat to get out of their seats. I'm tired as well of being told to sit down during an Allman Bros. show. SIT DOWN? at the Allmans? are you fucking kidding me? I was at the Tower Theater in Philadelphia once when the Bros. were there and an usher actually asked me to sit down cause the fat asses in back of me couldn't see. I spent the rest of the show with my middle finger in the air flippin' em off. they weren't too happy
