After a slew of solo shows and concerts with the Indigo Girls this
fall, Canadian alt-county darling Kathleen Edwards will embark on a
cross-country tour with singer-songwriter John Doe, beginning in Richmond, Virginia on November 5. Edwards teamed up with Doe for the
duet "The Golden State" on his 2007 album A Year In The Wilderness (Yep Roc).
The 11-city tour will mark Edwards' first shows in Santa Cruz and
Richmond in over ten years, and will include a special show at Carnegie Hall, as part of the WFUV Live at Zankel concert series presented in partnership with WFUV 90.7 FM in New York. Edwards'
performances will feature songs from her critically acclaimed latest
album Asking For Flowers (Rounder), which Billboard called a
"masterpiece" (3.8.08) and LA Times lead music critic Ann Powers deemed
"her strongest album ever" (3.4.08).
