Well, there's five shitty shows a bunch of people will never have to sit through! Good for them! The only sign the Crowes follow is the dollar sign.

Oh no! I hope Chris is okay. I mean he's so muscular, handsome, I would say even ineffably god-like, I don't think he can be sick; surely it's another band member! Get well soon, all of you darling honey-pies.

Idiots^^ You have no idea why, this band has played more shows & been on the road before most of you were born.

Andy Hess is no longer part of Gov't Mule. Maybe the crowes have taken a few days off to drop the current Bass player and add Andy back to the flock.

I've seen about every kind of touring act on the road in the last 15 years, and while the band is pretty talented, chris is a big douche. I've never seen anyone so drunk they couldnt perform, except chris in riverport for further festival. He started calling the crowd names, and had to have his mic cut. Big asshole. I can only hope that his brother(awesome guitar player) figures out that he could make more money with a real frontman.

The good news is that Luther is rejoining the Hill Country Revue in Denver for a show, he should be touring with that act anyway and getting the NMAS back out there. The Hill Country Revue show at Bonnoroo was still one of the best shows I had seen in a bit. I just listened to that disc last weekend and was blown away again.

^ I agree. Why would anyone even compare Umphrey's with the Black Crowes? There's no contest. The Black Crowes have written some of the best tunes around. Their new album Warpaint is fantastic. Seen many, many shows, and while I miss the Marc Ford- Eddie line-up, they are sounding pretty damn good with Luther. Saw them at Gathering of the Vibes this year and they tore it up, great version of "Cold Rain and Snow".

It's a shame that their substance problems are constantly one step behind them, here's hoping they resolve whatever problems they have soon.

No offense futhepharmer, but Umphrey's (who i dislike) is 1000 times better performing live than the Crowes. The Crowes play the same songs, all of the time!!! How many times/tour do you want to hear "Hard to Handle"??? I don't know what kind of Wook drugs you are taking, but they are clearly messing with your head.

whats with the lack of an attempt to make up these shows? The Mars Volta may have cancelled their Columbus show twice, both being the day of the show, but they still made that shit up last friday. They jammed with such intensity it was unreal. 6 months later is better then never! the crows should learn from TMV's example

^^^yo whatever your unreadable name is...check the facts next time you want tomake a point. look at the setlists, even going back a couple few years. They play "Hard to Handle" around every five, six shows. about as often as any jam band cycles their songs. Every show is different, like Umphreys, except that the crowes don't bother with the stodgy, prog rock metallica composed parts that you have to play exactly the same every time, they simply like to play it loose. Kinda Like the Grateful Dead.

However, I took a bazillian and two Wook drugs before I wrote this so I could be right.

What a sad state of affairs it has become for these drunk birds. A band who plays everywhere all the time cancelling some 7 shows!!!!There is no sickness- Chris is an egomaniac tool!

I used to work for moe. & everyone knows those two have shared the stage many times.

and I didn't say I hated them. Just don't care much for 'em

0 Votes Thumbs down! Thumbs up!'s kind of funny when people on THIS site- JAMBASE-

are saying ANY band that plays live music sucks.....

It's too bad some of you don't 'get it' and have no idea what you are talking about-

If you haven't seen the Crowes play- I feel sorry for you- because they and a few other bands are what kept JAM music ALIVE through the early/mid 90's

just because the Crowes were on the radio and MTV in the nineties doesn't mean they did anything to keep so called "jam music" alive. They are an ok blues influenced rock band. i've seen them a few times and was not at all here's a question "Who the hell cares if an overrated rock band cancels some shows?" There are plenty of other bands out there to see that are much better and won't cancel on you.

Phishmmw- when exactly did you see them?

your opinion is your opinion......

I think you're wrong- but I respect your opinion.

FYI- they played NONE of their songs in the mid-90's....just

repeated the same songs off their 1st album- So I am inferring that you are simply talking about SYMM, which was OBVIOUSLY grossly overplayed.

Go listen to Southern Harmony and write me back if you still think that they are an 'over-rated' rock band

And if indeed they 'sucked' why would Phil have Chris sing for him?
