Memphis indie/punk rockers Lucero announce their 2nd Annual Lucero Family Picnic. Taking place Saturday, September 13 in Batesville, Arkansas at Riverside Park, this year’s event looks to be bigger than the inaugural one last year in which thousands descended on this small Arkansas town of 10,000.

Lucero has hand-chosen the bands who will play the Family Picnic – gritty and soulful tunesmith (and ex-Drive By Trucker) Jason Isbell, the acoustic blues and prewar folk of Nashville-based Justin Townes Earle, Memphis based singer/songwriter Cory Branan, Fayetteville, Arkansas’ The Good Fear (featuring one-time Lucero guitarist Todd Gill), and the intimate songs of Memphis musician Dan Montgomery.

Said Lucero guitarist Brian Venable, “We’ve got some old friends like Cory Branan and The Good Fear and some new friends like Justin Townes Earle and Jason Isbell and more, it looks like it will be one hell of a day!”

Picturesque Riverside Park is on the banks of the beautiful White River. The festival is presented by Steve Thomas and Batesville Promotions.

Tickets are on-sale now and available via the band’s website: www.luceromusic.com.
