Presented by New Belgium Brewing September 11-13, 2008, the Mulberry Mountain Harvest Music Festival boasts an all-star lineup of acoustic, jam band, folk, rock, and Americana music. The event is held at Mulberry Mountain located North of Ozark, Arkansas on Hwy. 23, the "Pig Trail Scenic Byway."

Since its inception in 2006 the Mulberry Mountain Harvest Music Festival has quickly risen to be one of the hottest music events in the South. This year's lineup fuses together an incredible mix of musicians including Leftover Salmon (in a two set performance), Umphrey's McGee, The Wailers (formerly Bob Marley and the Wailers), The Avett Brothers, Perpetual Groove, Split Lip Rayfield, New Monsoon, Big Smith and many more. Returning for another year great of fun will be festival emcee Vince Herman of Leftover Salmon.

The three day music and camping event will also include a variety of arts and crafts, workshops, delicious food, and other fun activities. The newly completed amphitheater at Mulberry Mountain is one of the largest and most unique music venues in the nation providing a spectacular concert experience like no other. The enormous stage is beautifully constructed from cedar, native stone, and rustic metal giving it a true Ozark Mountain appeal. Guests can also enjoy hiking trails, waterfalls, and scenic mountain views from this unbelievable festival in the Ozarks.

In addition to being a great event, the festival will also be helping support a number of environmentally focused non-profit groups including the Pig Trail Forest Preservation Society and many others. Don't miss the 3rd Annual Mulberry Mountain Harvest Music Festival Presented by New Belgium Brewing September 11-13, 2008.

thanks for the clarification on who the wailers are. there is a book called "architecture of the arkansas ozarks" which nobody has ever heard of but is one of the funniest things i have ever read.

This festival is excellent. Went last year with low expectations and caught a railroad earth set that melted my brain.

I have been to a lot of festivals and can honestly that the site at Mulberry Mountain is the best there is, and the lineup this year is incredible! I sure hope they put a cap on the attendence because this is gonna be one of the best festivals in the country.

If youre going to announce this festival line up here on jambase, WHY NOT POST THE WHOLE LINE UP? Theres like a handful of bands playing that arent even listed. Cornmeal and Blue Turtle....they might not be big names, but fuckin A they are future saviors of the new wave of bands in this community. Theres a bunch more not listed, too. While there are comments all over jambase about "no name this and small time that", there are still many folk who read this site that do smell the underground and appreciate whats bubbling to the surface.

I would love to make it to this someday. I heard amazing things about last year!!

This should be a smoking hot festival. Great music line up, killer fishing, mtn. biking and camping all around you. I am staying extra days to ride some track and catch big fish. Leftover Salmon is going to kill it!!!! Listen to Daniel Gold and the Honest Tune radio show while you are in the area too!

The good vibes at this festival were so thick last year one could reach up and grab some out of the air to smother on the bacon being handed out at the chompdown.

I found myself during RRE's set..... There is magic in thoes mountains no joke.

RedHeaven I agree, it would be nice if they gave some love to the stellar up and comers like BTS or Speakeasy who I thought stole the show last year.

If you want to know who Mulberry is about listen to song 10 "places" from Speakeasy's set last year. http://www.archive.org/details/speakeasy2007-09-22.mulberrymountain.flac16

But enough about the ample amount of love going around. I agree with you Rabble, we should deff honor Bob Marleys message of tolerance by killing those that don't know the name of his band. I also think we should set anyone on fire who don't know who Peter Tosh was.

Damn what a syconisity...... I was readings the part of mbns post while listening to the song I advised you all to listen to and at the exact time my eyes scrolled over "killer fishing", Shawn from Speakeasy sang out "The Fishings good if you dont my formal attitude, adjust your attitude". No bullshit. I take that as a sign that Mulberry is going to be ledgenday this year! I deff wouldnt reccomend driving all the way to Arkansas for this no name festival.

I'm totally going, again. I go to Mulberry Mountain every year because it is the greatest music festival in the region. Come enjoy the Ozark National Forest, out on a winding mountain road we like to call The Pig Trail.

Once again the line-up is stellar but this year they have expanded well beyond the jamgrass, newgrass, and bluegrass festival underpinnings. Now it is truly a diverse festival of lively music from many genres to enjoy.

I'm particularly pumped for Leftover Salmon reunion type show and their song "Fayetteville Line" about Mark Vann.... and the late-night BoomBox set.... and our now-local jamband superstars Mountain Of Venus. Come see 'em. Also the best of newgrass again with Hackensaw Boys, Oakhurst, Avett Brothers, Big Smith, Cornmeal, Blue Turtle Seduction, more.

Chuckus thanks for the shout-out, I just saw that. You posted it 18 days ago, LOL. Sending you a Friend Request on here.

Listen to my radio show Honest FM on KXUA for musical previews of the Mulberry Harvest Fest roster.

The Mulberry Mountain Harvest Music Festival supplied enough energy to keep me going for weeks! The Avett Brothers and Big Smith were wilder than Hurricane Ike, (who also paid a visit.)Shannon Wurst, 3Penny Acre and My-Tea Kind took us to a better place in this world while making me thankful for having two feet to pound the ground! Only 361? days till Harvest 09!
