Musefest: Hookah, SeepeopleS

9th Annual Musefest announces initial Lineup featuring
2 nights of ekoostik hookah and SeepeopleS

ekoostik hookah
The 9th Annual Musefest will be held August 22-24 2008, outside of Ithaca, NY. Nine years running, Musefest has always strived to build a community based on love, mutual respect and freedom, as well as displaying the best regional acts in the area, as well as great National Acts, highlighting and promoting the very best music, regardless of genre. This year's lineup is one of the exciting the festival has ever put together. From the jam infused rock sets of ekoostik hookah and Unexplained Bacon, the energetic dub of J-san & The Analogue Sons, to the psychedelic freak out SeepeopleS and the funk fueled sounds of local favorites, Revision, this years festival promises to be one of the best marquee music events in the Northeast U.S. this year.

In addition to great music on four stages, Musefest is happy to continue with its annual Musefest drum circle from One Heart Community Drum, as well as the tradition of the Musefest parade, leading from the Kiddie Village/Family Camping area throughout the festival grounds on Sunday morning. The Family Camping area is a quiet, safe space for our festival attendees with children to camp and still enjoy the festival while having activities for the children. Activities include face painting, a kid's stage, sing-alongs, jugglers, dancers, clowns, to name a short few. General Camping and Car Camping are included with the cost of the festival ticket. Musefest is also happy to announce that the light show will be provided by Johnny Hustle Productions and Groovin Lumens. Attendees can expect upgraded light show complete with moving lights, projections and LED's.

This year, Musefest will also be selecting over a dozen performers from Sonicbids, and will be hosting the first ever Musefest 'emerging artist' stage on Sunday (using performers selected from Sonicbids). For more information on the Festival, up to date concert news, more information on the artists or to purchase tickets, please visit: www.musefest.org. Early Bird tickets are available NOW, by mail order only. Please visit the website for more info.

This festival is great. It reminds you of what a real festival should be...cheap, reasonable size, no security, good people, great little hidden venue. I heart Ithaca!

Giant Panda does rock , my favorite show in Ithaca last year was them and Seepeoples at castaways...I thought both bands killed it last year.

Hookah blows! Just saw them and it was probably one of the worst shows I have seen in years.
