Kings of Leon New Album: 9/23

Kings of Leon
RCA Records is excited to announce that Kings of Leon will release their highly anticipated fourth album, Only By The Night, on September 23, 2008. Only By The Night was recorded at Blackbird Studios in Nashville, TN, and was produced by Angelo Petraglia, Jacquire King and Kings of Leon.

Only By The Night is a bold and expansive sonic statement that looks set to solidify Kings of Leon's position as one of the most important international acts of 2008 and beyond. It follows rapidly in the footsteps of the band's previous albums, Youth And Young Manhood, Aha Shake Heartbreak and Because Of The Times, all of which have quickly established them as one of the most prolific and acclaimed acts around.

Following on from the end of 2007, which saw the band playing sold-out shows across America, including nights at Radio City Music Hall and the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, as well as a sold-out U.K. arena tour, Kings of Leon will play their biggest shows to date over the summer of 2008. The tour begins on 27 June at the world famous Glastonbury festival, where they headline the main Pyramid stage, before continuing with further headline appearances at Oxegen, T In The Park and V Festival and throughout Europe. On August 9, the band will play the All Points West Festival in Liberty State Park, in Jersey City, NJ.

Because of the Times is hardly a piece of crap... its definitely more produced, but it also rocks

I like these guys a lot actually. They are a touch trendy, kind of en vogue with the whole model scene and what have you, but i dig their sound. The last record was a little disappointing i guess, but some of the songs were really great. While not nearly as good as heartbreak, there were still some really well written songs, and that Followill feller has a unique, gravelly voice that i can definitely get next to.

I must agree. Because of the Times was HUGELY disappointing. The prior 2 albums were epic. Perhaps the quick turn around with a new album is a response. One mediocre album didn't make me write them off though. Excited to hear the new album.

Because of the Times did not Suck folks. Just because something is produced better and doesn't sound as dirty doesn't make it bad. The songs on that album were written really well. All three albums are freaking great, as a band from america right now Kings Of Leon is Great, Hands down. Looking forward to that new album.

I have to agree with wagsincarolina and disagree with juan. juan, because of the times was an EPIC album. it was by far their best album, it was sort of their coming out party in my opinion - an album that set them apart from the fast paced songs of the first two. But, not to diminish anything from their other albums.....they are all good.

i love the kings, their last album did take more time than the first two to grow on me. they rocked some of BOT at the roo last year and sold me on it. these guys are really young they may have their best work ahead of them.
