ALBINO! CD Release Tour

ALBINO! Announce Spring Tour and New Live Album Featuring Sax Legend Karl Denson

ALBINO!, the San Francisco Bay Area's award-winning 10-piece Afrobeat ensemble is bringing its high-energy grooves and explosive stage show on the road. The band's spring tour will visit eight states in support of their new live album featuring guest saxophonist Karl Denson of Greyboy Allstars and Lenny Kravitz fame.

Live with Karl Denson documents a blistering set of all original material recorded before a sellout crowd at San Francisco's historic Great American Music Hall in November of 2007. Mr. Denson lends exhilarating tenor sax improvisations and adds soulful color to the band's funky four-piece horn section on several of the disc's tracks.

The upcoming tour will find the debut of some brand new material as well as selections from the band's critically-acclaimed first studio album, Rhino. ALBINO! is excited to bring fans a wild party with their over-the-top live energy, infectious percussion, super-charged dance solos, heavy horn section, and signature stage costumes.

Hell yeah, it's about time these guys get some real recognition. i have seen them several times and the venues were never near capacity...good more dancin' room for me, but not so good for a touring band. If these guys are in your neck of the woods check em out ya won't be disappointed!

hahaha farmer browns isn't even a venue, it's an organic 'hippie' farm outside of boise, I bet farmer brown offeredthem a place to stay and in exchange they offered to play a show in his barn with no money changing hands(no bullshit they have kick ass shows in Farmer Browns barn, like dirt floors real barn) props once again farmer brown you rule!

Hell yeah Jambase, finally some ALBINO love!! I freakin love these guys(girl)to death! Hands down my favorite afro-beat band out there. Antibalas and Budos might have more "class" and "chops", but nobody does it as dirrrrrty and freeeeeaky as ALBINO.....true west coast style, these guys are the HEAVIEST.....very sexy stuff, I see them as often as I can which is a lot compared to most. They always hit up Nevada City CA at the Foundry, which is an amazing historic venue, but the sound is a bit wierd in there. Why it works for ALBINO is their fierce firey horn section, just bounces off those walls with ease. Also, this town comes out full force for world music, and with the Burner population pretty rampant here, the crowd at their shows is always very large up in the hills of the Sierras. I definitely feel proveleged to have them so close.

Now, while they are out there on tour, GO CHECK THEM OUT! Absolutely pleasing booty music with a ton of depth and provocative thought. Another great thing about this band is the way they interact with the crowd. They melt with you.

Captain Lou Albano is the greatest wrestling manager of all time. I think he has like 15 tag team championships to his name. More Albano!
