Warren Haynes In Studio With Railroad Earth & Oteil

We were excited to see the Railroad Earth Facebook page was recently updated with a series of photos showing the band working in the studio with Warren Haynes. A note accompanying the photos reads, “It’s been a crazy week in the RRE world. We’ve been in the studio with Warren Haynes for four days and still more to come. Honored to be a part of this project as it takes shape.”

There’s no word quite yet about just what “this project” is all about, but Warren’s old Allman Brothers Band mate Oteil Burbridge revealed he’s flying to New York City today “for a studio session with Warren Haynes and Railroad Earth.” When Haynes put out Man In Motion in 2011, accompanying press material said he wanted to record “a singer-songwriter oriented album with more acoustic instruments.” Is this what he’s working on? Stay tuned as we’re sure we’ll hear plenty more about what Warren and RRE have cooking soon.
