Umphrey’s kicked off the evening with the first take on their instrumental intro “You Got The Wrong Guy” in 39 shows. Later in the first set Ilya Stemkovsky (OM Trio/Brothers Past) came out for a “Drums” segment that followed a cover of The Clash’s “Rock The Casbah.” The second set featured well-jammed versions of “JaJunk,” “Wappy Sprayberry,” “Utopian Fir” and “The Floor.” To start the encore, the band celebrated Bayliss’s coming birthday before launching into the beloved rarity “Front Porch.” The third “Front Porch” of ’14 found its way into the most complete cover of TLC’s 1994 smash “Waterfalls” in over a decade before the sextet concluded one of their oldest songs.
