The top of this week’s Billboard 200 charts features two legendary artists who’ve returned with new albums –Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers and Eric Clapton. Petty and the Heartbreakers have scored their first #1 album with Hypnotic Eye based on sales of 131,000 copies, while the Clapton-helmed J.J. Cale tribute The Breeze hit #2 based on sales of 61,000.

For Petty, it’s his best-selling week since Wildflowers sold 161,000 copies the week after Christmas in 1994. Tom’s wait for a #1 album was long, but not nearly as long the 54 years Tony Bennett had to wait before his Duets II topped the charts in 2011. As for Clapton, it helps that The Breeze features a star-studded cast that includes John Mayer, Derek Trucks, Tom Petty and Willie Nelson.
