Jack White Guests With Beck In Providence

Last night Beck played the Performing Arts Center in Providence, RI; which isn’t far from Newport where the Newport Folk Festival is taking place this weekend. Jack White and his band performed at Newport Folk on Saturday and then the Third Man Records chairman headed to the Beck show.

As first reported by our friends at The Future Heart, White guested on Beck’s entire encore in Providence. Here’s what The Future Heart has to say about what went down during Beck’s encore, which also featured a cameo from Sean Lennon…

First the dynamic duo played two 1994 Beck classics: “Pay No Mind” and “Loser.” Check out Beck’s MC Hammer dance moves during “Loser!” Next Jack -or as Beck called him the “best bartender in the world” -jammed out a long version of “Where It’s At,” including a mid-song break into “One Foot In The Grave.” Likewise during the band introductions in the “Where It’s At” jam bassist Justin Meldal-Johnsen teased a bit of Chic’s “Good Times.” “Where It’s At” concluded with Jack White, fellow guest Sean Lennon (on tambourine), Beck and his full band all line dancing together.
