Tinsley once again took to Twitter to keep fans posted on his health. Boyd says his hand is already back to normal just three days after the surgery. He expects to be fine for the start of DMB’s summer tour on Friday, though warns “You will see me sometimes wearing a splint or ace bandage. This is only a precaution while the incision heals.” The violinist also tweeted a note of thanks to the team at Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, who took care of him last week.
I found out that I have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome a week ago. I had surgery three days ago and my hand is already back to normal.

Tinsley’s hand issues were noticeable earlier this year when he dropped his bow a number of times during his guest appearance with Phil Lesh & Friends at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY and during DMB’s tour of Australia.
