We can always count on Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox to deliver inventive
covers
such as the New Orleans-based group's recent take on "Sweet Child O' Mine," but now Bradlee has started a new
project that hits right in our wheelhouse as children of the '80s and '90s. Bradlee has
launched Saturday
Morning Slow Jams to present old school cartoon theme songs reinterpreted as old
school
'90s R&B.
The latest Saturday Morning Slow Jam focuses on the theme song from
DuckTales,
an animated series that ran from 1987 to 1990. POW!GRL handles vocals on the slinky, funk-infused cover of the show's theme song. We think they did a fantastic job with it, see if
