Tomorrow Allman Brothers Band/Gov’t Mule guitarist Warren Haynes celebrates his 54th birthday. To celebrate, regular host Rich Granaas will turn over this week’s episode of his House Of Haynes radio program to Alan Paul. Paul put together the exhaustive and definitive oral history of the Allmans, One Way Out.

“Warren Haynes has provided me with thousands of hours of musical enjoyment over the last 25 years and has also been central to my career,” said Alan Paul. “I’ve interviewed him far more than I’ve interviewed anyone else. I wanted to take this opportunity to almost retrace his career through my own eyes and ears -starting with the very first song I ever heard him play, ‘Good Clean Fun,’ from the Allman Brothers’s 1990 comeback album Seven Turns. I planned on taking it right up to the present, but even with what felt like a career skim, I only made it to 2001. Rather than compromising my vision of this thing, I look forward to hosting part two.”

House Of Haynes airs this Sunday, and every Sunday, from 10 a.m. -2 p.m. ET. This week’s episode will be the 50th installment of House Of Haynes. To tune in, you can head to Deep Nuggets and click the “listen” button at show time or by downloading the TuneIn App on any mobile device and searching for “Deep Nuggets.”
