Playlist | Feat. Bela Fleck

Bela Fleck is not only one of the greatest living banjo players on the planet – he’s one of the greatest musicians on the planet. Evidencing Fleck’s enormous talent is a wide ranging body of work that includes having been nominated in more Grammy categories than any other artist. Adding to his impressive body of solo work, his time in New Grass Revival and leading Bela Fleck & The Flecktones, Fleck has been tapped to lend his banjo skills to an impressive array of other artists’ studio albums.

For this playlist I gathered 10 tracks that feature Fleck in the studio with musicians who are no strangers to improvisational music. Fleck’s banjo fits effortlessly with highly talented musicians like Phish, Umphrey’s McGee and Keller Williams, among a variety of others. Without further ado, here’s nearly 50 minutes of five-string banjo for your listening pleasure.
