Cover Alert | Greensky Bluegrass Jams On Prince

Earlier today we told you about Prince’s marathon show on Saturday night in Hollywood. Well, Prince is just one of many acts we cover known for their marathon performances. Another one of those acts is Michigan’s Greensky Bluegrass.

Speaking of Greensky Bluegrass and Prince, we came across a recent performance of Greensky covering “When Doves Cry” and we’re extremely impressed at how they not only added their own imprint to the song, but also jammed the tune beyond the 10-minute mark. Unfortunately the sound on the video of the recent “When Doves Cry” left much to be desired, so we scouted YouTube and came across an exceptional video with soundboard audio of the Prince cover shared by Mark’s Memories. It’s a stellar take on the tune with plenty of improvisation, check it out:
