This year is setting up to be one of the most historic years in the history of The Allman Brothers Band. The band’s longest running lineup in their history will be kaput at the end of the year as guitarists Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes are leaving the group. Each gig they will play this year gains added importance, so we’re happy to see they will make their Lockn’ Festival debut this September.

As of now we know the Allmans, Widespread Panic and Phil Lesh and Friends will each perform at the second installment of Lockn’. We’ll see what happens when the Allman Brothers Band reveal their full plan for Warren and Derek’s final year, but it’s possible the Lockn’ set could be among the group’s last with their current lineup.

Tickets for Lockn’ are available through the event’s website.
