Phil Lesh And Family Band Welcome Krasno At Brooklyn Bowl

Apparently we aren't the only ones who thought Eric Krasno was a good fit to perform with Phil Lesh, as less than a week after Krasno played with Phil for the first time, he made his second appearance with the legendary bassist last night at Brooklyn Bowl.

Phil visited Brooklyn Bowl last night along with the Terrapin Family Band in celebration of the deal he signed with venue owner Peter Shapiro for 45 shows in 2014 at venues and festivals run by the impresario.

The bassist and the Terrapin Family Band treated the capacity crowd to one lengthy set and an extended encore. As the band usually does, they mixed a liberal dose of Grateful Dead classics with originals and covers such as Fleetwood Mac's "Second Hand News" and The Band's "Up On Cripple Creek." Krasno emerged on guitar towards the middle of the set for Ross James's "Henry Hill" and the Dead's "Playin' In The Band." He later returned for a four-song segment that brought the main set to a close. When the ensemble returned for the encore, they laid down the "Help > Slip > Franklin's" triumvirate followed by "Attics Of My Life." Watch GratefulSunshine's footage of the beautiful "Attics":
