This afternoon Chicago-based sextet Umphrey’s McGee have revealed the guests for their December 29th performance at the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, CO as part of the band’s New Year’s run.

New Orleans funksters Dumpstaphunk will kick off the evening for what keyboardist Joel Cummins describes as their first real show with UM. Also of note, sax great Joshua Redman will sit in throughout the night. Redman has a long history with Umphrey’s dating back to a brief Northeast run he joined the band on back in 2004. He later sat in with UM on second set and encores at two August ’06 gigs and lent his skills to the debut of “Made To Measure,” among other songs, on December 30, 2008 in Chicago.

Tickets are currently available through Live Nation.
