Zep Postpones Gig/Page Injured

Led Zeppelin Postpones Reunion Show After Jimmy Page Breaks Finger

Led Zeppelin
Led Zeppelin is postponing its one-off London reunion concert after guitarist Jimmy Page broke a finger last weekend. The show, which was originally set for Monday, November 26 at the O2 Arena, will now be held December 10 at the same venue.

All tickets for the original date will be valid.

"I am disappointed that we are forced to postpone the concert by two weeks," Page said in a statement. "We feel that this postponement will enable my injury to properly heal and permit us to perform at the level that both the band and our fans have always been accustomed to."

The show, which also features Pete Townshend, Bill Wyman and the Rhythm Kings, Paolo Nutini, and Foreigner, is being held to raise money for the Ahmet Ertegun Education Fund, which pays for university scholarships in the U.K., U.S. and Turkey.

In other news, Led Zeppelin's catalog will be available for the first time at iTunes starting November 13. Fans who pre-order Zeppelin music will be eligible for an all-expenses-paid trip to the London show.

Back in the Zeppelin days Page would just need a bottle of Jack Daniels and he'd be ready to go. Oh, how times have changed.

gimme a break... just like the live earth reunion had to be cancled due to preexisting obligations. page is washed up these days. i saw a pic of him in mojo magazine a few months ago - looked like crap. age has certainly not treated the wizard kindly. broken finger - bs - more like a busted ego! jpj's been kicking it on the bluegrass scene for quite a while (uncle earl, nickel creek, welch/rawlings etc), and rp seems to have followed suit with alison krauss. i'm with ryan adams... "Where the f*ck is JIMMY PAGE!"

i'd much rather a plant-jones bluegrass reunion tour...

Led Zeppelin is royalty. SHOW SOME RESPECT!!! All should feel honored to get a glimpse of what a real, true rock and roll band is. Nuff said!

Check out Gov't Mules 2nd set from Halloween. Houses of the Holy-start to finish! Holy Haunted House. Unless you are one of the people who don't like Zep. Then you can go f**k yourself! Have a nice weekend!!!

The O'Shaughnessy Theatre is accepting bids after Audley Freed & Gov't Mule blew the roof off on Halloween. I love Led Zeppelin but must admit that Warren and Co. set the bar high for this reunion. Hear for yourself!

From '69 to about '73 they were arguably the coolest live band on the planet, but once you get passed 1973, it's pretty much all down hill. You never knew how good or bad Jimmy Page was gonna be, he was hit or miss and this still holds true to this day. I know people who saw him with the Black Crowes not long ago and they said his performance was not much fun to watch at all. People are gonna be mad about this, but if you really wanna see a good performance wait for him to heal and hopefully he will be pretty good.
