TENACIOUS D SITS FOR EXTENDED INTERVIEW AND PERFORMS “THROWDOWN”

Craig Ferguson, host of CBS’s The Late Late Show, doesn’t bring many musicians onto his show. Instead, the Scottish-American comedian focuses his show’s booking efforts on actors, actresses and fellow comedians. So it was a nice surprise that scheduled guest Tenacious D did treat Ferguson to a song on last night’s Late Late Show in addition to showing off their wit during a 10-minute interview segment.

Jables and KG talked about their hate for jazz, due to weak sales of their Jazz release, their creative process and Festival Supreme. Festival Supreme, The D’s foray into the music festival business, is set to take place on The Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, CA on October 19. Black talked up some of the Festival Supreme performers such as Maya Rudolph and her PRINCEss project and The Office star Craig Robinson and his band The Nasty Delicious.

Tenacious D returned after their interview segment to perform “Throwdown” off 2012’s Rize of the Fenix. Take a look…

And here’s the whole ten-minute interview segment featuring The D:
