Moe. Busts Out Rush Cover And Jams With The Wood Brothers In Danbury

Last night jam stalwarts moe. brought their current tour to Ives Concert Park in Danbury, CT; where they performed a The Band cover with opening act The Wood Brothers and later dusted off their version of Rush classic.

The Wood Brothers emerged in the middle of the first set for a take on "The Weight" by The Band. This marked two guest spots on two The Band covers in two nights following Friday night's performance of "Up On Cripple Creek" with Keller Williams. moe. clearly has Levon Helm and The Band on their minds as they prepare to record a new album at Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, NY.

Later in the evening, moe. busted out their cover of Rush's "Tom Sawyer" for the first time since May 13, 1995 in Charlotte, NC to end the second set. Now THAT'S a bust out. "Tom Sawyer" came out of the Jim Loughlin-sung fan favorite "Farmer Ben." Also played were rarities "Don't Fuck With Flo" and "Runaway Overlude."

Here's the setlist via moe.'s Facebook Page:

I: She Sends Me, It, Deep This Time, The Weight (w/ The Wood Brothers), Water > Puebla > Mexico

II: Chromatic Nightmare, Bullet > Don't Fuck With Flo, Runaway Overlude, Time Ed > George, Farmer Ben > Tom Sawyer

Enc: Zed Naught Z
