ALO: Summer Festival Dates & Ron Johnson On Bass

ALO'S SUMMER FESTIVAL SEASON BEGINS
RON JOHNSON JOINS ON BASS

Beginning this weekend, ALO will embark on a summer full of festival sets, with a twist. The band, with origins stretching all the way back to middle school, has always featured keyboard player Zach Gill, guitarist Dan Lebowitz, and bassist Steve Adams. It's newest member, Dave Brogan, has been with the band for 10 years. The band has a long history of embracing the side projects its members’ have been involved in. The extra curriculars have included solo ventures and playing with Jack Johnson, Sara Bareilles, Brett Dennen, Brokedown in Bakersfield, magicgravy and more.

For much of the year, Adams will be out on tour with San Francisco band Nicki Bluhm and the Gramblers, and in a few cases will not be able to play with ALO. The band is excited to bring on their good friend Ron Johnson (Warren Haynes Band, Aaron Neville, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe) who ably filled in for Adams at ALO's 2012/2013 NYE show in their hometown of Santa Barbara.

Also of note, Sirius/XM recently hosted the band in New York City for “The Jam Files” session. This performance - aired May 3rd on the Jam On station and scheduled for rebroadcast tonight - featured the band performing songs from their latest album Sounds Like This and talking about their new fan club, affectionately named "The Hot Tub Club", which provides fans with exclusive unreleased music, meet and greets at shows, discounts on merchandise, and more.
