Jamgrass act Infamous Stringdusters made their debut at the Phil Lesh-owned Terrapin Crossroads venue in San Rafael, CA last night. Friday night's gig marked the first of two shows in the Bay Area for The Stringdusters, who are set to play the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco this evening, with Terrapin Crossroads regulars American Jubilee aboard as support.

Banjo wiz Chris Pandolfi broke the news on Friday afternoon that Lesh would perform with his band and Phil didn't disappoint. The Grateful Dead/Furthur bassist sat in with Infamous Stringdusters on a number of tunes including the Hunter/Garcia classic "He's Gone."

With Phil on bass and backing vocals, and the Infamous Stringdusters' instrumentation of acoustic guitar, upright bass, fiddle and banjo, the resulting bluegrass-fueled version of "He's Gone" is a unique interpretation of the tune unlike any we've heard.

But don't take our word for it - a fan-shot clip of "He's Gone" has surfaced.
