Robert Plant Focuses On Led Zeppelin Material Down Under

We're pleased to bring Robert Plant & Sensational Space Shifters to The Gorge as one of the headlining acts of JamBase Live this July. Plant, who last performed in Australia way back in 1996 with Jimmy Page, kicked off a three-week tour of Australia and New Zealand on Saturday. The seven-piece group focused on Led Zeppelin material at both an appearance at Singapore's Timbre Rock & Roots Festival last Thursday that preceded the tour down under and on Saturday at the West Coast Blues 'N' Roots Festival in Fremantle, Australia.

All in all, Robert Plant & Sensational Space Shifters filled their set in Fremantle with eight Led Zeppelin classics, a sampling of songs from Plant's Mighty ReArranger and Dreamland solo records and a cover of Howlin' Wolf's "Spoonful." Included among the Zeppelin tunes was Led Zeppelin II track Heartbreaker, which the Space Shifters had yet to play before this tour.
