The Mars Volta are amazing. Omar is one of the most interesting composers and guitarists in the world right now! However, the tickets go on sale through Ticketbastard!?! The service charge could be more than the show!

tight... cant wait for TBIG to leak... they need to get back on the jamband festival circuit and forget the tech problems at bonnaroo back in drummer pridgen is more than legit

I still jon wouldn't have left. ticketbastard sucks, I can't believe their service charge was 1/4 of my ticket purchases this week. they print shit at mass discounts and run a website, how much service are they providing me?

MAYBE...just maybe.. They will finally play Miranda for a live audiencem, so that many people's answers will be answered. But acoustic set should be bad, if anyone had ever herd The Widow(acoustic) from the FrancesTheMute single featuring the song FTM. and for those who are going do as they ask and WEAR COSTUMES!! They are REQUIRED

Liberals4MikeSavageIn08: Don't miss the Mars Volta show!!! They are a lot better live than they are on their albums. The first and only time I saw them was @ Bonnaroo '05 at 1am. It was one of the sickest sets of the festival! Since I can't make it out to the west coast for the show, you have to go for me. :P

I like the guys. I just hope they can stay sober enough to do the show. I've seen them twice and all it was, was them wallering all over the stage for an hour and a half.

schmo-kinn: I agree the times ive seen them they were so loud it was just one sonic overload I couldnt hear anything. the singer just hit himself in the head with the mic for an hour. Bonnarooo 05 was an ok show but still not impressed with live shows. Maybe tnhe acoustic set will be cool, who knows?

Yo Liberals, I agree with Zapzapa. Much love for Yonder and all, but this show could very well be the type of mind fuck that stays with you a few weeks after the show. I think Yonder do their best work at festivals, anyway. Think evening hours, June or July, rolling grassy any landscape at all, that's where they shine for me. NYE is more of a crazy bomblastic sorta holiday, perfect setting for Volta. 2 Cents!

Mars Volta owns like all these wimpy jam bands. Jam-bands suck. Mars Volta jams but don't suck...
