MONKEY MINDS IN THE DEVIL’S TIME OUT APRIL 9

Enigmatic Scottish recording artist Steve Mason has a rare US tour for Spring in support of upcoming album Monkey Minds in the Devil’s Time (Double Six Records, April 9)

Mason’s tour will take in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Philly, Boston and D.C. The impressively complex Monkey Minds in the Devil’s Time has been shaped by the current global political climate and the lack of dissenting voices in music and popular culture in general. The righteous, undaunted anger at the heart of the album has helped to create Mason’s best record to date.

Watch the brand new video for album track “Oh My Lord” below. The concept behind the video stems from director Institute for Eyes (Luke Seomore & Joseph Bull), who have worked with Wild Beasts and Moby, and director of photography David Proctor (These New Puritans, Esben and the Witch, Wild Beasts). Inspired by Japanese 1960s avant-garde cinema, the video is narrative of a character haunted by the perpetual noise of modern society.
