After a very busy summer of touring with Souleye, playing at festivals such as Joshua Tree, Burning Man and Symbiosis, BLVD is preparing to take off again on their Fall Tour. They'll be hitting up cities in California, Oregon, Colorado, New Mexico, Montana, and Idaho so check out the tour dates below and see if they're coming near you!
BLVD is a three-piece band that fuses live instruments with electronic samples to create a truly unique sound. Combining elements of house, breakbeat, and rock, their high-energy sound is perfect for the dance floor. Drummer Dylan McIntosh and Bassist Tripp Bains lock into deep, subwoofing grooves, mostly of the house variety, slower to wallow in funk or faster to slip into psychedelic space. Electric guitarist Curtis Sloane adds tight melodic progressions and looping patterns, layering, and warping himself electronically. All three improvise just enough to lead crowds through unexpected segues and hands-in-the-air crescendos. As a trio, they rely heavily on their production skills in the studio. By creating samples and synth lines they combine an organic live sound with the repetition and melody of electronic music. Their commitment to merge the live and the electronic music scenes continues to attract a progressive crowd interested in a multitude of musical genres.
