RARE SOLO PERFORMANCES FOR
DRIVE-BY TRUCKERS FRONTMAN
Patterson Hood |
The man who told us “hell no, I ain’t happy” hits the West Coast and Texas for a handful of solo shows.
Patterson Hood takes time off from recording his sophomore solo album,
Murdering Oscar (and other love songs), to road test new material en route to this year’s
Austin City Limits Music Festival. In the spirit of the
Drive-By Truckers recent “The Dirt Underneath” shows, there’s likely to be some quality storytelling while Hood showcases new tunes with alluring titles like “That Man I Shot,” “The Thanksgiving Filter” and “All The Lesser Monsters.” Since Hood rarely performs without the Truckers outside of the Southern States, this is a rare opportunity to catch one of the premier singer-songwriters of our day in an intimate setting.
