Oklahoma’s Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey have announced some special new September dates with The Life Effect featuring Brad and Andrew Barr of The Slip, Reed Mathis of JFJO, and Jim Hobbes of Fully Celebrated Orchestra! The Life Effect will be opening for Jacob Fred on a four night run of shows in the Northeast this September. The run will start on September 26 in Boston at the Paradise Rock Club before moving on to The Station in Portland, ME, The Stone Church in Newmarket, NH and winding up at the intimate and lovely Narrows Center in Fall Rivah, MA.

Quick note: Brad and Andrew Barr will be performing tonight (8.29.07) in Montreal as a new project called Super Little. The five piece band consists of Sarah Page (harp), Miles Perkin (upright bass), Andrew Barr (drums and things), Mark Hoeppner (keyboards and accordion) and Brad Barr (guitar and voice). The show is at Main Hall (5390 St. Laurent, Montreal, QC) and they hit the stage at 9pm. The show is free and all ages…
