WALL TO WALL GUITAR FESTIVAL ERUPTS
SEPTEMBER 13-15 IN CENTRAL ILLINOIS

Buddy Guy by Rod Snyder
The three-day Wall to Wall Guitar Festival at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts in Urbana, Illinois rejoices in all things guitar related in a nearly-round-the-clock celebration and exploration of an instrument that holds an essential place in almost every musical tradition around the globe.

Building upon the intense momentum of the 2005 inaugural festival, Wall to Wall, Take Two, will feature domestic greats like Sonny Landreth, Toubab Krewe, Yohimbe Brothers with Vernon Reid, Fareed Haque, Buddy Guy, Kaki King, John McLaughlin and Bob Brozman, as well as international artists from India, Scotland, Spain, France and Iraq including Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Pierre Bensusan and Rahim AlHaj.

There will be nine mainstage concerts (most with multiple artists), six free performances in the Krannert Center lobby, the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus, guitar workshops at local music stores, Guitar Hero competitions and plenty of “impromptu collaborations,” as festival artistic director David Spelman (founder/director of the New York Guitar Festival) puts it.
