RING IN THE NEW YEAR WITH AFROLICIOUS & FRIENDS

Afrolicious is closing out a monumental year of musical performances, tours and releases by bringing it all back home to where it began, the Elbo Room in San Francisco Mission District. New Years Eve 2013 is set to be one of the funkiest parties in the collectives history. The night’s entertainment lineup includes the full ten piece live Afrolicious band, a live PA/trumpet/drums set by Will Magid and making his Afrolicious party debut, Rio de Janiero’s funky samba DJ Lucio K. Hosted by Afrolicious founder Pleasuremaker this New Years Eve will be jumping from beginning to end.

The Afrolicious sound is eclectic, electric and funky. It relentlessly grabs ahold of the audience and pulls them onto the dance floor. Mixing up African, Latin and percussive rhythms with electronic breaks, club beats and heavy bass drops andAfrolicious show is a non-stop dancing frenzy. Whether touring as DJs, as a sound system with live percussion or as a full ten piece band Afrolicious has established a reputation from their home in San Francisco across the country. With their records on ESL Music and produced by Thievery Corporations’s Rob Garza their sound has become known among DJs, tastemakers and fans around the globe.
