Kyle Hollingsworth is best known as keyboardist/singer/songwriter for independent music pioneers The String Cheese Incident – who after 14 years together, have recently announced that summer 2007 would be the group's last tour, at least for the foreseeable future. Hollingsworth, a prolific musician who is well versed in many genres of music, is seizing the opportunity to explore news boundaries in music; and with a degree in jazz piano performance from Baltimore's Towson State University, a long history making music with rock/bluegrass band The String Cheese Incident, and a solo release that delves seamlessly into funk and acid jazz (Never Odd Or Even, 2004), Hollingsworth is already well on his way.

I think Cheese would like to broaden their horizons, but it's hard to tell if there is a high enough demand for HTH, Zilla, EOTO, and now soleside, to string together an east coast tour. I would like to think they would love to come to the east coast, but I believe they are worried that they will be unable to sell tickets. Or maybe I'm wrong, I don't know. It would be nice to see one of these side projects around the midwest though!

damn we need some midwest love....sheeeeyat (Wisco Disco)

Kyle is an awesome keyboard player, I'm excited to hear the new sound with this project. If you're unfamiliar with Never Odd Or Even (which is a palindrome by the way) look into it....it's sweet if you enjoy Medeski/Scofield studio sound. I hope that some of the songs off that album are given new life in this arrangement...if not whatever...I just can't wait to hear 'em!

You lucky CO folk.....

Hey PanicHeat. Dont you appreciate all the music brought to us by the big bands? I have seen LAME SCI shows, but I have seen them completely smoking off the hook too!
I have been going to see panic since 1989, Im old school.
I remember the division between phish and panic fans in the 1990's. I forgot how stupid all this hating is.
LIghten up dude,

i saw a KH side proj open up for one of Stanton Moore's sides at the indi in SF a few years back and it was outstanding, really showcasing his talents (along with his funny rapid-moving mouth gestures, which i could see up very close)

he always was the best guy from SCI, huh?

I think Zilla has turned out to be MUCH more than a side proj, and I hope this is as successful as that.

I never was a huge cheese fan as more of a styalistic preference matter but damn, they do have some serious skills that really come out on these side projs.
