About The Little Wheels Band
The Little Wheels Band is a West Coast Roots Rock Dance Band with a powerful show and sound that Performing Songwriter described as “cowboy boots meets retro roots”. This winter marked some important milestones for the Little Wheels Band and it’s members. Singer-songwriter-guitarist MichaelJohn Ahern recieved two SF Emmy Nominations; several outstanding players joined LWB on stage including James Nash (The Waybacks with Bob Weir) and Peter Harris (The Mystery Cats and previously with JGB) joined an exciting set in half Moon Bay on New Years Eve; and founding member and keyboardist Lachlann Kane returned to the band after a winter hiatus.
Upcoming April shows will debut new material. LWB plans to continue “paying their dues playing country, rock and blues” through a select group of defining Bay Area clubs this spring and into summer. A mini tour to Pt Reyes and Bolinas over the Memorial Day Weekend will debut The Little Wheels Band and Bill Cutler and the Hounds of Time. LWB will headline SF Bay Area’s biggest July 4th party, the Foster City July 4th Music and Arts Festival and during August LWB will share the stage once again with The Flying Other Brothers at the Little Fox. Noteable shows during 2005 included the 2005 Jerry Garcia Amphitheatre Dedication Concert and opening for a number of national acts including Sara Evans, The Jefferson Starship, and The David Nelson Band.
The Little Wheels band maintains an active official website with live show MP3 files available to download for free.
