About Big Sherb
Founded on their desire to shake booties like hands at a business meeting, Central Michigan quartet Big Sherb emerged from the depths of a duplex basement in the spring of 2014. Adam Marth, Ryan Heisler, Curtis Kuipers, and Ben Charles make up one of the newest additions to Michigan’s jam-scene. Through the summer of 2014 at festivals and venues around the state, they’ve intrigued audiences with their sound that smoothly blends elements of funk, jazz fusion, rock, and hip-hop enough to land them on bills with Michigan powerhouses U.V. Hippo and Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers within a year of their conception. Though the group is still in its early stages, it’s obvious that Big Sherb’s goals are simple: move bodies, shake souls, and lift spirits.
