Chicago rockers Wilco are one of the latest acts to participate in Spotify’s Spotify Singles series. Wilco laid down an original and a cover at Spotify’s New York City studio back in March and today those tracks have been released.

The “A-side” of Wilco’s two-track Spotify Singles installment features a version of “If I Ever Was A Child” the band laid down for Spotify on March 22. “If I Ever Was A Child” was originally recorded by Wilco for their latest LP, Schmilco. Additionally, Jeff Tweedy & Co. tackled Nick Lowe’s “(What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love & Understanding” during their session and the cover was also issued today. Wilco had performed the tune live a handful of times in 2013. Elvis Costello & The Attractions scored a hit with “(What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love & Understanding” in 1978.
