Phil Cook Performs Live On KEXP

This past August, Phil Cook stopped by Seattle-based radio station KEXP for an in-studio performance and interview segment. The talented multi-instrumentalist and his band The Guitarheels delivered songs from his most recent studio album People Are My Drug along with a cut from his solo debut.
Backed by drummer JT Bates, bassist Michael Libramento and keyboardist James Wallace, Cook & Co. began their set with “Steampowered Blues.” Next up they looked to Cook’s 2015 release Southland Mission for “Lowly Road” before finishing things off with two more tunes from People Are My Drug — “Another Mother’s Son” and “Life.” Watch the full performance hosted by Greg Vandy below:
