Greenwood took to Twitter to clarify his statements:

It has been nearly three years since Radiohead last toured, but according to a recent interview with guitarist Jonny Greenwood it won’t be long until the Brits hit the road again. He also revealed the band is nearly finished recording the follow-up to 2011’s The King Of Limbs.

As per Consequence of Sound, Greenwood spoke with Russia’s Silver Gold about what lies ahead for Radiohead. “We have finished recording of the new album but we keep reevaluating the work we’ve done,” the guitarist said about the new Radiohead album which the band spent time in September recording. He went on to share the exciting news, “We hope we’ll get it right soon, and after that we’ll start planning the next year’s tour.”

Radiohead has played less than 70 shows in the ’10s. More than 50 of those performances took place in 2012, the band’s busiest year of touring since 2003. We’ll keep you posted on what looks to be a big 2016 for Thom Yorke and Co.
