The next installment in the Garcialive series of archival live releases will be issued in June. Garcialive Volume 6 will feature a performance by Grateful Dead guitarist Jerry Garcia and longtime collaborator, keyboardist Merl Saunders from 1973.

ATO Records will issue Garcialive Volume 6: July 5, 1973 Lion’s Share on Friday, June 24. It is composed of the Garcia/Saunders show on July 5, 1973 at the Lion’s Share in San Anselmo, California prior to the pair’s famed run that became the live albums Live At The Keystone Vol. 1 and Live At The Keystone Vol. 2. Jerry and Merl were joined by drummer Bill Vitt and bassist John Kahn at Lion’s Share which was recorded by Dead engineer Betty Cantor-Jackson.
