Show Info

Dust off that costume and get ready to dance as whatever character strikes your fancy in this world rock Halloween party with guests, surprises and our own favorite Halloween band, The Flux. If anything, it’s a band whose existence is in flux, together for a few years, on hiatus, and now back again to drop in African and world dance grooves as it blasts through its original songs. In spite of many fluctuations and spasms in the cosmic makeup of the universe, the original lineup of The Flux is still bound together: singer-guitarist Joe Balestreri (Samba Ngo, The Bug Family), bassist Ryan Lukas (The Real Nasty), percussionist Matt “Smitty” Smith (Albino!), drummer Brian Huston (Dead Winter Carpenters, Tambores Julio Remelexo), and keyboardist-trumpeter Phil Gorman. Tonight the band will play crowd favorites from its album “Burst” as well as songs appropriate to Halloween. And, even though this is not a Grateful Dead Night, their jams may go in new directions as well. Starting off the show will be kindred spirits Antioquia, playing Afro-Colombian rhythms infused with prog rock energy.
