Show Info

OneVoice, a Washington D.C. based non-profit whose mission is to unite children around the globe through music, was founded by Eddie From Ohio guitarist and songwriter Robbie Schaefer in 2011. In those short two years, the voices of children have done everything from building a school in Tanzania to providing surgeries to children with heart defects in Kenya. Working so far in East Africa, India, and here in the U.S., OneVoice is committed to helping children everywhere experience their creativity at work in the world. Eddie From Ohio, the D.C.-based indie folk band will lend their voices to the cause with their debut performance at The Hamilton. Over a 20-plus year career, the band has released 9 albums and cultivated a large and loyal fan base across the U.S. and beyond, selling out venues from San Francisco to Chicago to Washington, D.C., and appearing at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Mountain Stage, and most recently, The Montreux Jazz Festival in Montreux, Switzerland. The evening will feature a full-length performance by the band, an opening set from the Vienna Jammers (an auditioned group of 8-13 year old marimba players and percussionists from Vienna, VA), and a silent auction. All proceeds benefit OneVoice.
