They can lead an eager crowd through a rabble-rousing rock ‘n’ roll number & then in a blink of an eye, beatbatter their ears with some bone-shaking bluegrass, only to flip the script on them again moments later with a feast of funk. The impressive part is how they can make that wavepool (with such an eclectic range of styles) still transition seamlessly and retain a pop sensibility, all the while flowing smoothly without making those who choose to earsurf it seasick. Aotearoa: Aotearoa (A-O-TAY-UH-ROW-UH), the two-man jungle-funk explosion have built their reputation on endless touring. The guitar / drum duo is comprised of multi-instrumentalists Jacob Lerman and Ilan Giter who by way of sample free live-looping and a notoriously raucous live show have managed to take the familiar dance-rock form back to it's long dormant animalistic roots. Beware, there's a brain in this funk and there's a soul in this rock and it will be tearing the roof of the sucka in your town at the aforementioned date.
