Show Info
Come see Bobby Radcliff play at Johnny D's! Bobby spent the first half of the 1970’s performing in Washington DC with his own band. Members of his band included many of the great Washington DC players; Steve Shaw, Victor Spano, Dave Walker, Dick Heintze, Robbie Magruder and Danny Gatton. Bobby recorded his first 45 RPM single in 1974 on the Aladin Label. In 1977, Bobby moved to New York City and became one of the house musicians at the Lone Star Café working with Kinky Friedman, Bernard Purdie, and the original Blues Brothers, featuring John Belushi and Roomful Of Blues. In 1984, Bobby recorded “Early In the Morning”, his first 33 RPM album. In 1988, Bobby signed with Black Top Records, of which he recorded five albums; “Dresses Too Short”, “Universal Blues”, “There’s A Cold Grave In Your Way”, “Live At The Rynborn” and “Live At Tipitina’s”. In 2005, Bobby recorded “Natural Ball” with producer Bill Bowman on the Rollo Label. Bobby currently resides in New York City and has released his latest album, “Freaking Me Out!” (Krellno Records 2011).
