Show Info
As part of Music Director Manfred Honeck’s journey of Gustav Mahler’s symphonies, the Seventh Symphony is one of the reigning highlights of the season. This grand work, composed at a tumultuous time in the composer’s life, is sad yet triumphant and features two “night music” movements. Though a demanding piece both technically and musically, this monumental symphony is extremely gratifying for the musicians and audience alike. The concert begins with a little treat of more “night music” by Mozart.
