About me: Atomic Kings are a high powered trio hailing from Fort Smith, Arkansas. Formed in 2000, the group has been performing around the U.S. in a non-stop frenzy. Mikey Valdez weights in from Chicago, Illinois originally and serves up a mix of screaming rockabilly and blazing instrumental surf guitar. Donavan Coffey, from Oxnard, CA. and Mark Scharf, Fort Smith, provide an intricate backbeat for Mikey to put the hammer down on. "We're not out here to change the world, by no means." Says Mark, "I sing about things I know and like...fast women, cheap beer, hotrods and heartache." And with song titles like "Voodoo Love", "Heart on the Run", "Hotrod Betty", and "Ghost Train" the point is very clear. So, come one and all. Gas up your Hotrod and scrub those whitewalls. Put on your cat clothes and comb your hair high. Call on your favorite gal or fella and let them know that Atomic Kings are in town. After you put on your Sunday-gitty-up best and polish up your boots, head on down to the pub. The boys are ready and will be giving it their all on stage for those brave souls who are willing to shed the shackles of an MTV driven music business. For on the 8th day God created Rockabilly and it was good. With radio play and a great start to the success of the band's first album "Runnin‘ from the Devil" they are ready for more. In May of 2007, the group will recorded their second album, "Hail to the King" which is sure to be just as a crowd pleaser. It is a sure bet to get the mouth watering and the feet tapping. Grease Up!!!!

Music means to me:Fast cars, PBR, even faster women. Tattooed full tilt, rockin' for the cats and kitten til' the sun comes a knockin'. Gettin' right up in the devil's face and tellin' him that if'n he's taken me then he better bring the beer. Greasy hair...a little dab'll do ya....damn straight. It's a life style like no other.

General Interests:Rockabilly festivals, the smell of gasolin in the mornin'. A backstage queenie in a babydoll T that when she bats her eyes it just sends you into orbit. Drinkin' with the fellas and rockin' and rollin'.
