Matt Maloof & the Contraband: Fri 9/7/2007 6:10PM; Recently signed Chenoa Music recording artist, Matt Maloof, has assembled an All-Star Band to back his solo effors. "Matt Maloof and the Contraband" includes local guitar legend Jeff Atkins on lead guitar. Atkins is a highly acclaimed local artist who, over the years, has shared the stage with many national acts. Local talent Mike Chapel has taken on the role of bass guitarist, after playing lead guitar with Maloof in several projects over the past few years. Chapel is a singer/songwriter and has brought a powerful and energetic bass groove to the newly formed Contraband. Roudning out the rhythm section is solid veteran drummer John McGuire. McGuire provides highly creative, yet ultra tight percussion and anchors the band with machine-like precision on drums.
