Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo
Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo
Pat Benatar: she's always been a rule-breaker and a trail-blazer, she remains a bold and distinctive artist and a bonafide living legend. Songs like "Love is a Battlefield", "Hit Me with Your Best Shot", "Heartbreaker", "Promises In The Dark" and "We Belong" are as unforgettable now as they were at the dawn of MTV, when Pat emerged, fearless, fighting and forging a path for other female rock stars around the world.

Capitol Steps
Capitol Steps Comedy Troupe / Political satire
This musical political satire troupe is made up of former congressional staffers, equal-opportunity spoofers all, who poke endless fun through song and skits at politicians on both sides of the aisle and at government goings-on in general. Current examples include songs about Mitt Romney's plea to the GOP ("Help Me Fake It to the Right") and President Obama's class warfare ("If I Tax a Rich Man"). In addition, they take on such trending topics as Secret Service indiscretions and the EU's money woes and what to do with Greece.

The Royal Family Ball featuring Soulive & Lettuce
The Royal Family Ball
featuring Soulive & Lettuce

It's safe to say that The Royal Family Ball featuring Soulive and Lettuce (which shares some members) will be a great show; after all, not many bands can say they've recorded with Chaka Khan, Dave Matthews, Talib Kweli and John Scofield. Nor can many bands open for The Rolling Stones on one tour and have Stevie Wonder sit in with them on the next tour. When they hit the stage to lay down some '60s and early-'70s-styled funk jams it's nearly impossible to ignore the spirit — just shake your hips and go with the flow.

Little Feat and Leon Russell
Little Feat & Leon Russell
Steeped in a huge pot of Southern flavors — including gospel, country, and R&B — Little Feat is the stuff of '70s rock legend. The band built on its early cult following to create a weird and wonderful blueprint: effortlessly slick rock 'n' roll delivered with a surreal, rollicking, West Coast swerve.

Singer, songwriter, sideman, bandleader, American treasure Leon Russell has done it all. Russell became a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011 in recognition of a career that has brushed against many of rock's most influential and elite characters. Bits of blues, rock, gospel, bluegrass, and more come bounding out of his tunes, sometimes all at once, making up a style whose only possible label is simply "Leon Russell."

This Grammy-Nominated Americana/Alt-Country band's sound owes as much to Gram Parsons and Earl Scruggs as to Jerry Garcia and Exile On Main Street-era Rolling Stones. Following in a fine tradition that includes forward thinking roots bands like The Flying Burrito Brothers and New Riders of The Purple Sage, Yarn weaves roots music idioms into a fresh sound that turns on hipsters and fans of country music alike. This is one of the tightest and more vibrant bands we've heard in some time.
